Here’s a juicy titbit….a starter you can munch on while you go through my delicious kandi curry recipe!
Do you know my surname- kandicuppa comprises of 2 words-
Kandi meaning yellow dal/lentils and
Cuppa (pronounced cooppa!) meaning heap. (in Telugu, which is an Indian language)
so my ancestors are from a place where there was an abundance of dal/lentils!
Isn’t that interesting?!

A little bit of innocence in the jar,
A little bit of cheeky fun by the bar,
A dash of fiery temper, into the mix,
a hint of sweet smile, playing on the lips,
A little bit of attitude on the go,
Some first impressions are meant to last for eternity..
while others fade into oblivion…which would you rather prefer?
It’s not that easy an answer… 🙂
It was our first trip…
to my Uncle’s place,
who had shifted here,
with bag and baggage.
I was excited about
seeing their home,
(It is in one of the ‘posh’est of zones,)
We left our house
on a nice Sunday,
I would love to see the world in all its glory,
all possible landforms,
settings to my story,
I would love to climb mountains,
go through forests and beaches,
They’ll mark the date in the calendar,
with the enthusiasm of an expectant father,
who’s dying to know what his baby looks like,
& can’t wait 6 months longer!
