lips tell lies,
Free Verse is an irregular form of poetry in which the content free of traditional rules of versification, (freedom from fixed meter or rhyme).
In moving from line to line, the poet’s main consideration is where to insert line breaks.
Some ways of doing this include breaking the line where there is a natural pause or at a point of suspense for the reader.
as the missing pieces-
Didactic Poetry is a form intended for instruction such as for knowledge or to teach
the reader to learn skills, science, philosophy, love, crafts, humour, etc.
Enjoy yourselves and I hope you all take part.
It looks like a hard challenge.
Love is a cake,
you bake with your heart,
sometimes it turns out well,
rest others, it falls apart!
There is no secret formula,
This challenge is to write a Rispetto poem.
A Rispetto an Italian form which is a complete poem of two rhyming quatrains, abab ccdd.
Good luck with the challenge and i hope everyone takes part.
My dear little angel,
I love you to death,
Make any wish playful,
I will grant it in a breath.
Oh dear moma, I want only this,
something soft, something warm, something that could kiss,
Do you want a toy? A teddy bear perhaps,
Ok…but can I call him daddy and welcome him with claps?
A poetry challenge with a difference, which i thought up myself.
A poem made up completely from song titles only.
No additional words to be added.
It doe’s not need to rhyme and can be any length.
The poem should have a theme: love, travel, places, etc.
Get those fingers and minds working.
when I see you smile,
This is a very simple challenge for you all.
All you have to do is write a poem for Christmas.
Serious, humour or any other type, enjoy writing.
Good luck to you all.
The earliest memory of Christmas I have,
is when I was five years old,
Believing in Santa, I put a stocking
near my bed, beside my toe.
Christmas is not our festival,
yet dad had me believing so,
& lo and behold, when I woke up,
there was a gift from Mr. Ho ho ho!,
I couldn’t believe my little eyes,
& cried tears of joy,
while my dad’s face lit up as he said,
I told you Santa exists, didn’t I?
