Change

Sometimes, you have to let go,

start afresh, to realize,

the worth of what you have

I started this blog with the title ‘My experiments with words’ something that came spontaneously to me at that time and which made a lot of sense considering I was and still am playing with words! 🙂 But as time progressed I realized that a lot of people started to equate my blog title with the famous work ‘my experiments with truth’ by M K Gandhi. Though that was just a happy coincidence, which I didn’t mind at that time, today I feel I need to move beyond this inspiration as I no longer idolize him and this title was just weighing me down. My apologies to all those who were fond of the previous title, though I’m not sure if it will change in your reader, all I’ve done is change the title in my theme for my own satisfaction. Hope you keep following my blog with as much love as before 🙂

Criminalizing Love

Is it a crime,

To be different?

To not conform

in adherence?

To have a world view,

that’s inherent?

To want inclusiveness,

Christmas Memory

poets corner poetry challenge : Christmas

This is a very simple challenge for you all.

All you have to do is write a poem for Christmas.

Serious,  humour or any other type, enjoy writing.

Good luck to you all.

The earliest memory of Christmas I have,

is when I was five years old,

Believing in Santa, I put a stocking

near my bed, beside my toe.

Christmas is not our festival,

yet dad had me believing so,

& lo and behold, when I woke up,

there was a gift from Mr. Ho ho ho!,

I couldn’t believe my little eyes,

& cried tears of joy,

while my dad’s face lit up as he said,

I  told you Santa exists, didn’t I?
