Weekly writing challenge: A pinch of You
This week, we want a window into the complexity that is you. We want your best recipes.
We don’t mean we want your best recipe for fried chicken, we want the recipe for all the bits and pieces and quirks and foibles and loves that make you you.
Here’s a juicy titbit….a starter you can munch on while you go through my delicious kandi curry recipe!
Do you know my surname- kandicuppa comprises of 2 words-
Kandi meaning yellow dal/lentils and
Cuppa (pronounced cooppa!) meaning heap. (in Telugu, which is an Indian language)
so my ancestors are from a place where there was an abundance of dal/lentils!
Isn’t that interesting?!
Now here’s the recipe! 🙂 enjoy!!
A little bit of innocence in the jar,
A little bit of cheeky fun by the bar,
A dash of fiery temper, into the mix,
a hint of sweet smile, playing on the lips,
A little bit of attitude on the go,
maybe even some craziness,
so blend it slow,
the zingy tangyness is,
no points for guessing,
what’s the prize!
A little bit of shyness by the drop,
together with some chattiness,
by the blob,
a little bit of loner,
pour it in,
not to forget the slender frame,
A little bit of sexiness,
hard to place,
throw in some absent-mindedness,
to the case,
Shakira’s the topping,
as a paste,
Now that’s your kandi curry,
ready to taste!
