Life as a nomad….or not?

I would love to see the world in all its glory,

all possible landforms,

settings to my story,

I would love to climb mountains,

go through forests and beaches,

testing my endurance,

till the far away reaches,

I would love to taste food,

of every country,

enjoy a bite

of their

richest delicacy,

Maybe even befriend

some charming locals,

& listen to their life stories

with their vocals!

&

yet…

I’m sure

I will feel incomplete,

without

home made food,

my mom’s speciality!

I’ll miss

the chatter

of a full household,

where we talk for hours,

no volume control!

I would miss the stability

of a fixed home,

that helps you sleep soundly,

feeling safe in your dome,

But most of all,

I’ll miss my pillow,

and the beautiful view,

outside my window!

If you could live a nomadic life, would you? Where would you go? How would you decide? What would life be like without a “home base”?

Photographers, artists, poets: show us TRAVEL.

  1. Even if I could, I wouldn’t opt for a nomadic lifestyle. The adventures I experience in daily life with my family, especially my children, could never be matched by anything else. Thankfully, we can imagine some experiences through others choices, that too is a gift. Interesting and thought provoking post. Smiles
